Luxuriously smooth dairy-free/sugar-free vanilla cream fudge with fresh strawberries! The perfect summer treat. Nut-free with just 5 simple ingredients and 5 minutes! (Keto, Paleo, Vegan)
Too good to be true?!
Have you ever taken a bite of a dessert and from the very first taste were like, "Omg. That is GOOD."
"So good I probably should be eating it."
Indulgent taste. Melt in your mouth goodness.
This fudge feels like it's totally sinful.
Silky. Creamy. Smoooooth.
But guess what! It's HEALTHY.
Fresh and DELISH -- without needing any sugar, dairy, artificial sweeteners or JUNK.
This Berries & Cream Fudge is my newest obsession. And once you try it, you'll see why!
Dairy-Free Keto Fudge
I absolutely love experimenting with creative ways to make fudge *without* using ANY dairy or ANY sugar. Remember these?
- Mint Chocolate Fudge (secretly made with avocado!!)
- Reese's Freezer Fudge (made with coconut oil!)
- 4-Ingredient Fudge (made with nut butter)
But none of them have this ONE special ingredient that is so insanely unique and delicious. I wanna drizzle it on everything.
This makes my fudge NUT-FREE now!
What is it?? COCONUT BUTTER. This is a GAME CHANGER.
What is Coconut Butter?
If you're new to coconut butter, it's probably confusing. No, it's not like "real" butter.
It's more like almond butter, but made with blended coconut instead of blended almonds. Read more about it here.
It's naturally mildly sweet (but there's no sugar added.)
In short, it's MAGIC. 😉
This is a big one-- it *doesn't* taste like coconut. Seriously! It has almost a shortbread flavor.
And not like any nut butter you've ever had before. Because it naturally contains coconut *oil*, it hardens when chilled.
It's so amazing and versatile, it can transform into this healthy fudge and so many other tasty treats like cake balls, cream pies, candy, frosting, OH MY.
SHORTCUT Method
I LOVE using coconut butter in desserts. It makes DELICIOUS Homemade Starburst and Strawberry Cream Pie!
In all my previous recipes using coconut butter, I made my own to save money. (How do you make it? It's super easy! Take 2-3 cups of dried unsweetened coconut flakes and blend them in a food processor until drippy and liquified. That's it! It can take up to 20 minutes, depending on the freshness of your coconut.)
But for the first time, I used a shortcut: buying premade coconut butter!
I found such a great price on coconut butter at Thrive Market that I finally felt like it was affordable. (ps If you haven't shopped Thrive Market yet, you're missin' out! Get an extra discount here: thrv.me/prettypies)
Where can you buy coconut butter?
You already know I get mine at Thrive Market because it's such a great price! 🙂 But you can also find it on Amazon and in most grocery stores with the nut butters (not refrigerated with the dairy butters!)
Side note - It's also called "coconut manna." So if you see that on the label, that's it!
How NOT to FAIL
If you decide to go with the shortcut (store-bought) coconut butter instead of homemade, here's one very VERY IMPORTANT thing you MUST do to avoid a complete FAIL:
You absolutely HAVE to stir the coconut butter. EVERY time you use it.
- Melt it first (it will be solid at room temp) by placing the jar in a bowl of hot water.
- Then stir stir stir.
- Why? Because the naturally occurring oils rise to the top of the jar and
- if you just scoop out butter from the top, you're getting mostly oil. And that won't work.
QUICK and EASY
Seriously, so fast. I LOVE when recipes are so easy and take almost zero effort!
This is a 5 ingredient - 5 minute (or less!) recipe!
Just melt, stir, pour into a pan and top with strawberries. That's it!
Set it in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes and get ready for a heavenly treat!!
How to Customize Your Fudge
Strawberries and cream is a personal favorite combo, but you can sub any other type of berry or topping or mix-in that you like! Blueberries + lime zest, raspberries + lemon essential oil.
Or take it more sweet and salty! Swirl in some caramel, peanut butter, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of chocolate on top! YUM. The possibilities are endless!
Sweetener Swap
And yes, you can use any sweetener you like. I used monkfruit drops, but you can absolutely use powdered monkfruit/swerve, stevia drops, stevia concentrate, or even a liquid sweetener like maple syrup (if you reduce the milk in the recipe), or powdered coconut sugar for non-keto! Sweeten to taste, as always!
No Sugar Needed
I'm so glad fat is BACK. It's what makes food taste so dang good! haha. I love healthy fats like coconut butter for a majorly SATISFYING treat.
With zero added sugar and super low carbs, you can feel GOOD about this healthy indulgence! (Full macros listed below)
ps you probably want to double this recipe because this fudge makes a small batch and it goes FAST. You have been warned 😉

Great recipe. I couldn't get the cocnut butter to melt in hot water. So o scooped some out and melted in a sauce pan. Any suggestions? Is there a video for this recipe? I. Definitely a visual person. The coconut butter has a grit texture too. I definitely need liquid konk fruit in my next batch. I used my liquid steevia, because that's what I had, and there's a slight after taste. Definitely satisfying!

Glad you liked it!
A saucepan works, too. I haven’t made a video for this one yet, but I did try to do some photos of the step by step.
What brand coconut butter did you use? Mine didn’t taste gritty— it was super smooth! smoother than homemade butter I made before.
Yes definitely get some monkfruit drops. No aftertaste!! I seriously LOVE monkfruit
Enjoy!

You are welcome!

I love this recipe because it's so quick and easy. Quick once the coconut butter is melted! I just put it on the stove in a double boiler while I'm doing other things in the kitchen. I've tried a few variations adding shredded coconut, pecans, essential oil, sugar free chocolate chips, etc. It's a great base to experiment with.

So glad to hear you love it! Great idea with the different mix-ins. I will have to try that Thanks Nicole!
