Healthy Holidays
Sometimes I get a little carried away around the holidays. I could polish off a batch of Christmas cookies like nobody's business back in the day, haha.
Now I'm trying to be healthier, and sometimes I just need a break from *all* added sugars (even unrefined ones like maple syrup). I still wanna have my cake and eat it too, don't you?
If you look around, there's sugar EVERYWHERE around the holidays.
But you don't have to give in to the carb craziness if you're watching what you eat.
The solution is HOMEMADE. Stay away from the sugar laden, highly processed stuff and make your own using REAL food. It's so much healthier! 🙂

Cassedy
what is the nutritional information of this recipe?
Gladys
I'm with Cassedy, what's the macros break down here? How do we know how many carbs are in them especially with the orange juice addition?
Emily
Roughly 2 net carbs each, based on 15 servings. According to MyFitnessPal.
It depends on how big you make them. At 15 balls, each one is 92 cal, 7g fat, 4 carb, 2 fiber, 3 protein
Hope that helps!

Can the Coconut flour be substituted for almond flour or another type I'm allergic to coconuts?
Emily
Absolutely! Finely ground almond flour works. You will need more though. I would just add a Tbs at a time until it’s the consistency you like
Anto
Hi! I want to make this. Can the almomd butter be replaced with coconut oil or something else?
Emily
You can sub another nut or seed butter such as cashew butter or sunbutter, but I don’t recommend coconut oil. The texture wouldn’t be good (too oily)
